By accessing or using PlateRiver.com (“Plate River”, “we”, “our”, “the Site”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Site immediately.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Who May Use the Site

You must be 18 years or older to use PlateRiver.com. If you are under 18, you may only use the Site with the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian.

To access certain features, you may create an account using:

  • A supported third‑party login (e.g., Google or Facebook)

You are responsible for:

By submitting content, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to publish it

  • It does not infringe any copyright, trademark or other rights

  • It is accurate to the best of your knowledge

You grant Plate River a non‑exclusive licence to display, distribute and use your content for the operation of the Site.

We may remove or modify any listing or content at our discretion.

6. Platform Role and Limitations

PlateRiver.com is a directory and community platform only. We are not involved in:

  • Transactions

  • Payments

  • Bookings

  • Shipping

  • Escrow services

  • Buyer or seller protection

  • Verification or certification of businesses

All interactions between users and restaurants occur independently of Plate River.

7. Fees and Premium Services

Standard listings on PlateRiver.com are free.

Optional paid features may include:

  • Premium listings

  • Banner advertising

Fees apply only when you choose these additional services. All fees are displayed before purchase.

8. Refund Policy

Fees are non‑refundable, except where required by law or where:

  • You were charged more than the correct amount due to an error by PlateRiver.com

In such cases, we will refund the difference.

Refunds are not provided if:

  • You change your mind

  • The Site is temporarily unavailable

    • If downtime is caused by our server, we will extend premium listings by one additional week.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on PlateRiver.com — including design, text, images, graphics and code — is owned by or licensed to Plate River or its content providers.

You may:

  • View the Site

  • Download or print pages for personal, non‑commercial use

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute or modify content without written permission

  • Use Plate River branding without authorisation

10. Disclaimers

PlateRiver.com and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”.

We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of listings or information

  • Uninterrupted or error‑free operation

  • Availability at all times or in all locations

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plate River is not liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages

  • Loss of data, profits or business

  • Personal injury or death

  • Issues arising from interactions between users and restaurants

You use the Site at your own risk.

 

12. Changes to the Site

We may modify, suspend or remove any part of the Site at any time without notice. We are not liable for any impact caused by such changes.

13. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections remain in full effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes must be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.

If you access the Site from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with local laws.

15. Notifications and Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive:

  • Essential service notifications

  • Account‑related messages

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time. You cannot opt out of critical service notifications.
