  • How do I share my page to social media circles and friends outside of social media?
  • To share your page from Plateriver.com to your social media circles, and friends outside of social media, please follow the steps below:

    These buttons are located under the listing description. Once you click on a particular button e.g social media icons, you'll have to log in before proceeding to share it on your socials, or share it with email by following the on-screen instractions in the newly opened tab and click Send. You can also share your listing by scanning the QR code next to the email icon. 

    You can also share your listing by scanning the QR code next to the email icon, print the QR code and place it on various sales and marketing materials, like social media posts, one-pagers, billboards, signage, business cards and more.

Publish Listings
  • How do I post a listing?
    1. On Plateriver.com, click on the green button, labelled "Add a restaurant", on the top right corner of the page. On the mobile website, the green button is located centrally on top of the page.
    2. Choose the category, sub-category, title, description, price and finally, any additional information.
    3. Enter the listing location, your e-mail, and then click on publish.
  • Do I need to validate my listings with Plateriver.com?
  • In order to ensure quality content, all listings published to the Plateriver.com request validation by the publisher themeself. This applies to registered and non registed users, logged in users don't need to validate their listings.
  • I have posted a listing but it doesn't show up in the Latest Listings section?
  • You need to verifiy your listings after it's published.
  • Unable to activate your listings?
  • Check if your business is already listed in Plateriver.com, if it is listed, you need to go through the process of cliaming your restaurants instead of posting.
  • I have posted a listing but I cannot log into Plateriver.com?
  • Plateriver.com allows anyone to post listings without register an account with. If you would like to log into Plateriver.com, you need to register before you can log in.
  • How to validate the new listing?
  • Open up the email sent by our system to the address used to post listing. Click on the activation link, and your listing will appear on Latest Listings section.

    Note: If you cannot find the email in your Inbox, please check the Junk Email folder.

Manage Listings
  • How do I manage my listings?
  • You use the "Add a restaurant" page to manage the listings that you or someone have submitted to Plateriver.com, including update and delete your own listings.
  • How do I update or delete my listings, including adding or removing images?
  • When you log into the Plateriver.com account, you will see a series of links on each of your listings. Click on the relevant links to manage a specific listing, i.e Edit Item, Delete or Enable.
  • Why can I not log into Plateriver.com to manage my listings?
  • To manage your listings at Plateriver.com, you need to be a registered user. If you have already registered, please check that you have entered the correct email address and password. If you have not yet registered, simply register and you are ready to go.

    Note: Your registered email address must match the email address used for post your listings.

  • What is my listings URL at Plateriver.com?
  • The listings URL is the web address to your Plateriver.com page.
  • Where do I get my listings ID at Plateriver.com?
  • The listings ID is displayed on the right of your Plateriver.com page.
  • How do I find my listings at Plateriver.com?
  • To find your listings at Plateriver.com, simply search by keyword, suburb, state and/or category.
  • I have (or by someone else) have posted a listing at Plateriver.com, but why can't I find it now?
  • If you cannot find your listings at Plateriver.com, this means the listings do not exist, which may be due to you have requesting Plateriver.com to delete your listings previously, or the listings has not yet been published to Plateriver.com.
  • How can I restore my listings after I have deleted it, or requested Plateriver.com to delete it from Plateriver.com?
  • Your listings, once deleted, cannot be restored but you can re-post your listings if you would like to see it again at Plateriver.com.
Listing Competitivity & Visibility
  • How to make my listing more attractive or competitive?
  • Building a competitive listing starts with having an clear, accurate description of what visitors will get. To help vistors know what to expect from your products and services, make sure you have an up-to-date listing details, use high quality images as they are the visitors' first impression of your listings, and fill in as many details as you think are useful in the fields provided when posting or updating a listing.
  • What is the advantage of high visibilty?
  • The newer your listing, the more visible it is to visitors, allowing them to quickly find your information.
  • How to increase listings visibility?
  • All posted listings appear on the Latest Listings section, with the top listing being the newest. Listings will be pushed further down the list as newer ones appear. To maximise your listings' visibility, you may simply republish the listing periodically, this is commonly known as REFRESH. Plateriver.com does not limit the number of times you can post a listing each day, you can re-post your listings as many times as you like, the more you re-post your listings the better results you get. 

    Additionally, Plateriver.com offers a click-and-share social network sharing function on every of your listing pages. This leads to maximised spread of your listing quickly and effectively. To take advantage, simply clicking the social buttons will share or email your listings to your friends.

  • Why register?
  • By registering an account, you can access more features and controls on your plateRiver.NET account, such as updating information and browsing merchant promotions and more. The registration account is also intended to facilitate the user to manage listings posted before the account is registered.
  • I didn't get a verification email. How do I verify my account?
    • A verification message is sent to the email address provided during registration.
    • If you have not received an email in your inbox, your email address might have been misspelled or the email went to your junk or spam folders.
    • Please check to see if it’s there. If you received the email but it was held up in your spam folder, add no-reply@plateriver.com to your safe email sender list.
    • If you do not find the verification email in your spam folder, you may have misspelled your email address during registration. If you incorrectly entered your email address, simply re-register with the correct one.
  • Why is it when I just registered, but my listing does not show up in my account?
  • You need to validate the email address used to post listings for the first time. Please check that the e-mail address used to post your listing is the same as your account email.

    If it is different, simply change the e-mail address under your account to the one used to publish the listing, so it will pass the ownership verification.
  • Why can't I log in?
  • The user can not log in for a variety of reasons, please choose the approriate situation and its possible solution below:

    • The email address and password entered when logging in are wrong:
      Please check your email address and password are correct.
    • I forgot my password:
      You can get a temporary password here. Log into Plateriver.com using this temporary password immediately and change your password.
    • Browser does not have cookies enabled:
      If you try to sign in to the PlateRIver.NET account, the system displays a message saying that your browser cookies is not turned on, probably because you disabled the browser's Cookies feature. You must enable cookies to use the PlateRIver.NET account.
      To enable cookies, please follow the help quide in your browser's menu.

Merchant Promotions
  • What are merchant promotions?
  • Merchant Promotions are an eye-catching strategy for merchants when planning a variety of promotions. This tool can help your promotions immediately garner more attention, letting the customers understand your current offers. You may choose not to use this feature, but it is more beneficial to utilise this tool as it provides more incentives for consumers to use your products and services..

    On listings that have this function enabled, a notice of Merchant Deals Available... will appear informing visitors that an offer is available on the listing, and next to it, a login button labelled View Your Deals. Merchants who use this function can specify whatever is under this button with up to 30 charactor in place and visitors will be able to view offers once they have logged into Plateriver.com.

    On the contrary, listings with the function disabled will not have a notice appear on the page.

    To enable this function, you can enter your deals in the Merchant Promotions field when creating the listing or when editing an existing listing. To remove a deals, you simply delete all text from the Merchant Promotions field when editing.

    The Merchant Promotions service is completely free and Plateriver.com is not involved in any of these transactions.
